Fantastic! Just quick reminder about the Harrow Road History Group meetings every month.
This month we meet Wednesday 9th November at Ernest Harris House, 61 Elgin Avenue. At the door please ring bell 62 marked LOUNGE and come on the first floor.
We are putting together a project on the last 100years of community hostory on and around the Harrow Road… Come along and join in!

Can anyone help me please: I am looking for photographic reference about the houses in Porteus Road before demolition to make way for the Harrow Road Flyover. The period of most interest is when my family live there, somewhere between 1910 to 1935 .

I was brought up in Errington Road, just off the Prince of Wales 1951. I may have a photo of my mother somewhere walking along the Harrow Road about 1941 time. I seem to think the cinema was in the back ground. Whereabouts was 117 Harrow Road. My sister lived over the bank ?369 Harrow Road, near the Prince of Wales pub.

So pleased to see a history group for Paddington. I was born in Paddington in 1951 & lived at 117 Harrow Road, the shop was called Victoria Press. Just wondering if anyone has a photo of the properties along Harrow Road opposite the green & does anyone remember Lenny Joslin pre 1967. All i have now is memories of years gone by & i still love Paddington Green!
