‘The Art of Coffee’ pops up at Maida Hill Cafe Gallery!

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

If you are serious about your coffee, you will love Francesco and Leo, who have popped up at Maida Hill Café Gallery until further notice! These Italian connoisseurs set up the Art of Coffee five years ago and have been supplying happy customers across London with espresso’s, lattes and freshly roasted beans or ground coffee ever since, most recently at Broadway Market in the East End.

The Art of Coffee offers a unique yet reasonably priced, global menu – you will find Colombian*, Bolivian*, Ethiopian Yirga Cheffe, Papua New Guinea*, Nicaraguan*, Monsooned Malabar, Peruvian Decaffeinated*, Costarican*, Old Brown Java and Kenya Peaberry at the café, alongside Francesco & Leo’s very own Neopolitan Espresso Blend, a selection of traditional and herbal teas (including the wintertime special, Cold ‘n Flu*), and fresh pastries daily from popular local café/deli, Lisboa.

Leo says: “We source our selection from Coffee Plant in Portobello Road and grind the beans ourselves. Most of the range is certified Organic & Fair Trade. Coming soon is our homemade hazelnut coffee with fresh cream, and a special Cuban blend similar in taste to Jamaica’s Blue Mountain coffee, which you rarely get in the UK. We’re also recycling our used coffee grains – not long after we arrived a local resident asked if she could have it for her compost bin and we were delighted to help!”

The Art of Coffee at Maida Hill Café Gallery, no. 2 Fernhead Road, London W9 3ET. Open 7 days a week, 8am to 6pm. www.maidahillmarket.com
